Shipping Policy

Delivery Methods

At The Furniture Warehouse, we deliver your orders using two primary methods:

  • Local Delivery via our own delivery drivers.

  • Freight Delivery using specialized carriers for larger items or bulk shipments.

We currently deliver and ship to addresses within the contiguous United States. Deliveries outside the lower 48 states — including Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico — are not available through our standard checkout. However, custom quotes can be requested for these locations. Please contact us for details.

Additional delivery fees may apply to destinations with limited accessibility, such as gated communities, remote areas, island addresses, or places with size/height restrictions. These fees will be quoted on a case-by-case basis and communicated prior to shipment.


Order Processing & Transit Times

We do our best to process and ship orders as quickly as possible. Please allow:

  • 1–5 business days to prepare in-stock items for shipment.

  • 2–14 business days for delivery within California (varies based on product type and location).

  • 2–4 weeks for shipments to addresses outside California.

Orders with a shipping address different from the billing address may experience delays due to verification requirements. To avoid processing issues, please ensure your shipping address is registered and confirmed with your payment provider.

For custom or backordered items, estimated delivery timelines will be provided, but they are subject to change based on availability and manufacturer schedules. Please note that deposits on custom orders are non-refundable.

Once your order ships, we’ll send a tracking number via email along with a link to track your delivery.


Local Delivery – California Only

For customers in California, we offer free local curbside delivery within 15 miles of our showroom, typically scheduled within 5–14 business days after your order is confirmed. Deliveries take place five days a week, Tuesday - Saturday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with advance notice provided.

Please note: An adult (18+) must be present with a valid government-issued ID to receive the delivery.


Inside Delivery – California & Nevada

Inside delivery is available for select regions within California and Nevada. This service includes delivery inside your residence or building, but does not include moving items upstairs, assembly, or trash removal.

  • Scheduled 7–14 business days after order confirmation

  • Limited to items weighing 300 lbs or less per piece

  • Additional fees apply for oversized items

  • Availability may vary by region — we’ll notify you if this service is not offered in your area


Standard Freight Delivery (Curbside)

Large or bulky items delivered via freight are dropped off curbside. This means your order will be left at the end of your driveway or in front of your business. You are responsible for bringing the item inside your home or business.

  • Delivery appointments are required and will be scheduled in advance

  • Freight companies operate Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Adult signature is required

  • No liftgate service is provided by default — if needed, please request this in advance (fees apply)


Customer Responsibilities at Delivery

To ensure a smooth delivery, please:

  • Be available to accept the delivery or designate someone on your behalf.

  • Inspect the item thoroughly before signing off. Note any visible damage (crushed corners, holes, dents, dirt, etc.) on the delivery slip.

  • Refuse delivery if the item is visibly damaged and email us clear photos within 24 hours at [Your Store Email Here].

  • If someone else (e.g., friend or family member) signs for your delivery, that person’s signature is legally binding.

If you miss your scheduled delivery, re-delivery or storage fees may apply:

  • Local terminal storage: $25–$75/day

  • Re-delivery from terminal: $100–$450

  • Shipment returned to warehouse: $200–$750

  • Refused deliveries that are not damaged will incur round-trip shipping charges and a 25% restocking fee


Disclaimer & Other Important Notes

  • Availability is not guaranteed — items may sell out while in your cart or shortly after purchase. If this occurs, you will be notified and given the option to wait for restock or receive a full refund.

  • Multiple-item orders may arrive in separate deliveries.

  • Our team does not assemble furniture, remove debris, or move items up flights of stairs unless explicitly stated.

  • If you assist the delivery agent voluntarily, you do so at your own risk. The Furniture Warehouse is not liable for any injury or damage that occurs in this process.

  • Never attempt to complete or reschedule professional delivery services on your own. Contact us for proper instructions.


Report Damages After Delivery

If you discover damage after your item has been delivered and signed for in good condition, please contact our Customer Care team within 24 hours at:
